Students may wish to carry out investigations in groups. Individual groups can then present their findings to the class.

Topics of interest may include:

  • Paperís production from plantation to transporting papers.
  • Newsprint ink. The inks currently being used and the inks being tested for more environmentally friendly use in the near future.
  • The recycling of material that occurs in the newspaper industry, including newspapers, office papers and the recycled toner cartridges used in the office photocopiers.
